looks like same HD Blower? mine fits right inside of the exhaust..

Believe I got it from Home Dopey's website. It was slightly to small too cleanly fit over my cap.

I don't get the leaf blower thing. I need to read up on it. But isn't it blowing a ton of soot into the house/stove?

You use the leaf vac end. So it sucks it out.

I have a 4" vent and the blower fits nice/snug inside the vent.. No Adapter needed.
Has a Beveled end that fits perfect into 4". can see in the picture.

I have a 4" liner, but the tube didn't quite fit over the stainless cap. I bought the rubber adapter from Home Dopey. It was in the PVC section, was like 7 bucks and came with the clamps. You can see it in the first post picture.

if you have same blower as I do and 4" exhaust. I'm surprised it did not fit INSIDE your exhaust pipe..

Yep, wouldn't fit. The flex liner might have a slightly different diameter.

does that black tube you have stuffed in the vent pipe come with it? or is that the piece you use on the other end when blowing leaves?

A note here.

For those not familiar with the LBT

Always do this with the stove door open to allow max air flow.

It's also a great idea to disconnect any vacuum switch's too (unplug the hose) to avoid damage to the diaphram.

I prefer to do a thorough cleaning and then do the LBT with the baffles all in place, as this makes sure that maximum high velocity airflow reaches all the nooks and crannies.

Having the exhaust fan running and a helper operating any manual heat exchanger scraper devices is a plus too.

Suggestion

If you live in a neighborhood with whiny !@#$% neighbors, do the LBT at night to avoid s great deal of potential conflict

As Snowy pointed out, as a safety precaution I always pull the hose on the vacuum switch. I do differ in my approach as far as the keeping the door open the entire time. I close it here and there to help suck out any spots that I may have reached during my thorough cleaning prior to the LBT.
