Wife is tired of the typical black surround that came with the insert. Never given this any thought because I don’t care what it looks like. I care that it’s well maintained and does it’s job, which it does :)

Ideas? Don’t want to buy the $750 cast iron enameled one that is available from Napoleon.

Appreciate any ideas. I’ve removed the surround and attached photos.

any metal fabrication shops around you? they can plasma cut designs of your choice into panels the same size you have now

There aren’t any that come to mind, but I also am 45 minutes from Columbus OH. There would definitely be options.

Thinking more along the lines of DIY however. I’m pretty handy. Maybe stack stone/tile? Just can’t think how to make it removable so I can service the insert in years ahead if need be (i.e.) blower replacement.
