I found a place making/selling switchgrass pellets, $178 a ton. 1 ton bulk bags only. I've read a bit about them and they have a high ash content and maybe not the btu's of wood pellets but would like some to try, just not a ton of them.

Anyone want to split up a ton? I was hoping to only get a few bags for testing.

The Mt Vernon AE was originally advertised that it was going to be able to burn these, but the controls have yet to be setup with a switch-grass option. Although you could probably just set it to wheat or corn and it might burn just fine. I would not expect them to burn well in a stove designed only for pellets, you would want to have a "multifuel" stove.

Sorry not interested in buying any, just sharing my 2 cents about the topic.
