New member, just watching/reading.
Frustrated by the tapatalk limitations (need some # of posts first).
I understand the spam limiting desires, but don't understand limiting tapatalk.
I use my phone, what can I say.
Anyway, post #1.

Reasoning is very simple. One day we let security lapse on a tt upgrade and had 500+ "new" members within a couple hours - all through tapatalk.

So it's only a question of whether you like the board as-is or whether you'd rather it have 4X the members and 5X the posts, with 90% of them being spam.

Security has costs. This seems a small one when you figure in the benefits.
