I installed a KozyHeat Z42-CD with Metalfab TG (Temp Guard) Insulated chimney. The fireplace works great. Love it! One question I have is the outside of the chimney pipe gets hot. I've never been around insulated chimney pipe, so maybe that's normal. I put a thermometer on it and during an average burn, it gets to 139 deg F. Is that temp normal? Just wanted to make sure.

Thanks
Chris

I've never put a thermometer on my Duratech classA chimney but it can often be too hot to keep my hand on it for long so 140F seems normal to me.
