I have 450 gal pressurized storage but at this time there is no thermometer to indicate what the temp is so I raided the kitchen and absconded with the probe thermometer and have it tucked under the insulation, with the probe touching the top of the tank. The readings that I am getting are around 140°F. This temp does not vary much and I am wondering if there is something that needs to be done to make better use of the stored BTUs. To do this I am looking for advice on easy install temperature sensors that would work with the steel tank storage that I have.

I would like to get a more accurate reading on what the tank temps are, both top and bottom, so that I can know if the tanks are being used efficiently.
