so this past December before x-mas my friend had a huge pine tree cut down, he gave me all the wood because people around here think it's crazy to burn soft woods. Anyway I literally split it all the day after I got it and just threw it into a large heep, I split the round large like 8" diameter and the plan was to stack it in the spring and use it as shoulder wood next fall if it was ready. Curiosity got the better of me today and I took a split out, and to my surprise it was paper lite. I resplit the piece and using my moisture meter found out it was 16%... The pile has been under the snow uncovered since the day I split it
