Heard this from a reliable source who had an actual letter from the company.

Based on recent conversations here, it seems likely they determined this was not their forte (the company that bought them)......

Fair warning - I guess, for those who need parts. It's likely someone somewhere will carry them...just as with other units.

Or, maybe the brand will be bought and brought back to life. As I was telling my contact, if I were 20 years younger.....::-)

Yes, it is true. They will still provide parts for existing stoves. The new EPA regulations also played a part in the decision.

Will not lose any sleep over that.Have wanted to pick up one and convert it,120 volt, standard controls, but whenever I found one, broken, people wanted arm and leg, because they paid so much for it new.Now if the company allows parts suppliers to sell parts direct to stove shops you will see a lot more of the old ones revived, parts prices down by at least 30%.

Thanks for confirming. I have a hard time believing that regs which don't exist yet and will take many years to go into effect would reflect much on a decision now....IF they were selling stoves and making money. After all, Jay's designs (pellet) would easily be able to meet (stock or with minor mods) any proposed EPA standards....

But that's all just opinion. My take is that this stove brand needs to be "loved" and not just sold as another product by a fab company or other entity. It just may not have been their cup of tea, so to speak.

Yes it is true as many of you know I work for Thelin & still do. They are trying to be honorable with supplying Parts & Tech Service for the indefinite future as their are still many out their that will need Parts. I have luckily made the cut & will try to do whatever I can to help people out with any knowledge that I may have going forward. We are still not perfect & this was not an easy decision by upper management. We still will be building Stoves up until late July 2014. I hate to see the Stove go as I do love the brand, the look & everything it is about. Being a Pellet only Company is a difficult challenge in a Gas world.

That's too bad... I was looking into getting one of those for my next stove :(

That's a shame, unique stove and look. But I think price actually is/was the main problem. Thankfully lots of nice stove choices remain...

Uh Ohhh

So is this company closing in July , or are they going to product another product besides stoves....I wonder how long parts will be available for..

The company is not closing..We are just not producing Stoves any longer. Parts will be available for the indefinite future. I plan on being their for quite a while giving Tech service to all our Dealers.

So i guess they are not saying at this time, what new product they will be producing...
