I pulled into my driveway at lunch time and this was there. Not a humongous pile by any means, but it wasn't there 4 hours ago. I had run into one of my tree guys friends this past weekend and talked about him dropping me some partially seasoned wood but I wasn't expecting something quite so fast.

Looks to be a pickup sized load. Black birch. Rounds uniformly cut at about 16 for the most part. Definitely standing dead, a little punky at the edges but still rock solid in the center. I'll need to get this stuff split and covered real quick.

I feel like I'm cheating, this is too easy.

Only drawback with black birch is that it rots out so quickly. It gets punky if you spit on the ground next to it. But getting it stacked and covered fixes that problem.
