Looks like the temps here in the NE will be about 15 deg colder at this time tomorrow, and the winds will be much stronger. Where I am we only got about 5" this AM, but hopefully it wont turn to ice and cause power outages . . . .

This is probably NOT the time for experimentation with different fuels, et.

I hear ya....we're supposed to drop from 38 right now to 20 by dinner time. I tried to get a little ahead on my tank temps last night. Tonight will probably be my first three load burn of the year...

5" of very heavy snow this morning...we too expect to see the teens at night for the next several days. It will be interesting to see the appetite of the Wood Gun!

When plowing this heavy stuff this a.m. I was keeping one eye on the road and another looking for trees to scrounge after they break under the load.

Ahhhh - the cool refreshment of MN. Lows tonight through Sunday night are -11F, -10, -5, -6, and -5, with daytime highs between 4 and 11F. The home fire is a-burnin'.

I've been running the boiler steady all week. Finally got up to zero today, and it
felt pretty warm. Last two morning have been -20 and -27 but Sunday was the worst with the
30mph wind. Lots of frozen pipes from the wind in the area.

Fairbanks is warmer than here. Back to the 30's next week..

Really love the wood boiler keeping the house toasty warm. MM
