Hi All,

Looking to do a DIY install on a Century CB00005 in my office which is a converted garage with an external facing chimney (20-25 foot). Is it really necessary to insulate the planned 6" liner? Also planning on stuffing the flue with Roxul rather than installing a block off plate (unless I can find something which is pliable/easy to install)-do you think this is enough?

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks,

External chimney... yes, insulate the liner, and install a block off plate. Put Roxul on top of the block off plate if you want.
