If you have heavy equipment and can move 400 oak trees before spring this guy wants you. I dont and cant so was told probably not <>.

Dammit I wish I was closer, I'd take that project on if I could rally some help. I betcha there's some lumber trees in there.....
Imagine all the firewood!!

Pete, maybe we should see if we can round up a crew?! Check with A C for starters but there are plenty of others in MI not that far away and perhaps we could work out something. I'll certainly give this some thought and might even go check out the land.

Thanks Dennis That would be great ! I told him that I may be able to get a lot of guys on this but he did not want to many people out there. It could not hurt to have others try maybe he will cave and let people come cut.

Pete, do you have the location of the property? Send me an email if you have it. Maybe we need to go have a look.
 
OK OK OK I fibbed a bit I thought Lainsburg was south of 69 not north..... so Im about an Hour or so..... And yes Like the Sig says north of Canada. Head south from Detroit and you end up in Windsor. :cool:

Im near Clarkston in White Lake.

Wonder how many trips in my Ranger that would be.......

Stormy Kromer is a really warm clothing line made in Michigan I have a hat similar to Augies avatar. I wear it when I cut firewood or just cuz its cold.

I am really in for this group cut if the wood is worth it I may try to stop on the way home tomorrow and see. How many of you would be in for a group cut ?

Wow ..thats a super score if some of you could get together on this. Then drive down and drop off 3 chords to me ;lol
 
That is a challange, but if you have a 4wd tractor or a good ATV, you can fall and haul out the logs. Of course doing it in the Michigan winter could be a challange.

North of Canada, yes... I am north of Toranto here, as well as lower Michigan (north of the 45th parallel). I am not due north of Canada or Michigan though...
 
Well this guy has lost his marbles ! He wants only heavy equipment and does not want to pay anybody to do the work. He was turned down by logging companies unless they get paid to go 500ft back to a river creek down a steep hill through the swampy woods. What a bummer. I talked to him twice yesterday and I don't think he has a clue of what it takes to get back there it won't be free unless he lets firewood guys in.

Throw a reminder on your calendar to call him once a week until he either finds a logging company crazy enough to do it for free, or until he gives in and lets firewood people in :)

I had to wear one of those when I was a bit younger. Never did like the thing.
