Hi all,

We’re in the process of converting our wood fireplace to gas. We’re currently looking at the Mendota FV44 fullview. We saw it in the store and it was definitely one of the best ones we’ve seen.

My issue is, our couch is about 8-10 feet from the fireplace, and the room itself is probably around 375-400 square feet. Should we be considering the timber line / decor version?

My concern is that it’s going to be too hot when it’s on, and we’ll never have the nice visual because of the heat. And having a nice looking fire is a pretty big priority. Heat is kinda secondary.

Anything we should consider?
