I'm building a home in alaska and have been looking at the Toyotomi OM 128. It's an on demand boiler that does domestic and radiant hot water, but how well I'm unsure of... It's a new design, so I haven't found much for reviews. Anyone have some Intel on these?

I have an OM 148 that I use as a back up boiler. It is an earlier version that was for DHW.
They work well. The one issue is that these units tend to short cycle. This is a normal operating condition.
I have found that the nozzle tends to crud up over time due to the short cycling. Rather than replace it, (it costs about $30), I open the unit up
and clean it with carb cleaner.
They are nice units which are quiet and are great back up units for wood burning. I would assume the OM-128 is a better unit
that would not short cycle as much in Alaska!

I have an oil miser OM180 as a back up boiler, that I used exclusively for DHW in the summer until two years ago. It is not piped as a boiler for backup. Very quiet, and about the only oil setup I'd recommend ad a direct vent/sealed combustion- which is the main reason I chose it for backup as I didn't have a flue for oil.
They do short cycle like mad, I've been tempted to change the .85gph nozzle to a .5gph just to see what happens then.
Looking at Toyotomiusa website I dont see much difference in any of the models, still uses .85gph and same looking unit as the rest, mine is polished stainless though
