Hello everyone,

I just purchased a King KP130 that is manufactured by US Stove. We just installed it and fired it up for the fist time the unit will run for about 5 minutes then throw an error code 8. The manual says the code means that the fuse for the room blower has blown or the motor is jammed. I have checked all the fuses are good and the blower motor spins freely. After the unit goes through a cool down cycle it will fire back up and do the exact same thing. Any help would be appreciated US Stove claims they are backup and will answer my call sometime in the future.

From the manual, try the room fan test

PERFORMING AN INITIAL TEST
This test is used at the factory where the stoves are assembled to test the functionality of the control and the stove
before the unit is shipped. To perform this test, press and hold the OFF and AUGER DELAY buttons simultaneously for
3 seconds. To advance through the test, press any key unless otherwise noted in the test step.

2. Room Fan Output Test - The display will show “rfan”. The room fan is turned on full. If the Room Fan Fuse is not
blown and the fuse detection circuit is functioning, the Room Fan LED will be lit and the other three top row LEDs
will be off.

I will try that when I get home. The room blower does kick on and run then it throws the error 8 and shuts off. After it goes through the cool down cycle I can fire it back up and it works fine for 5 mins again with the blower on then it throws the code. I'm not sure if the circuit is reading current draw or some form of a pressure switch to see if the blower is running.

There is not alot of info on this error. I would also check the power connections to make sure they are seated correctly. Maybe unplug the board connector and reseat that. Make sure you unplug the stove first.

I wonder if a factory reset would help anything.

I have factory reset the unit 3 times and have reseated all the wires and connectors. If I can't figure this out to it it's going back to tractor supply tommorow. It amazes me that the company hasn't called me back.

What settings are using during startup? Still curious if the room fan test will fail. I would return it as well. Would you get another one or different model? Seems to be a trend of not getting callbacks these days.

Ya even from doctors offices, then they would like a five star rating on a survey. So a stove company isn't too surprising.

Thanks everyone I said screw it I took it back this morning and got a new one now it's installed and working great. I couldn't see to keep something that was dead from the word go I was afraid it was going to be a problem forever.

Perhaps they do better with tractors.
