I posted about the hedge apple a few weeks ago and here it is with half of it down.

Then, my friend lined up this stash for me and dropped it off behind his house for us to split and this is only half of it  . He does lawn seeding and fertilizing and this was a client who asked if he wanted it and would remove it. Again, great friends are hard to find. Ash and locust. I think I'm done cutting what's down in the woods.:)

Well, I'm starting with stuff in the woods that has been down for several years including a walnut I cut last year but didn't split. It's a mix of ash (green and white), walnut, and maple. Then I'll start on the hedge apple and then the big pile. Part of the deal of him collecting it is that we are going to split some for him to sell but the bulk of it will be mine (I'm snagging all of the locust).

I'm hoping to have the hedge and stuff in the woods split and stacked by June.
