I'd guess pin cherry, but I didn't see any cherries and the bark doesn't seem correct comparing to google images.

Can't quite make out the bark from your pics, but leaves looks like hackberry (Celtis occidentalis).
Hackberry has distinctive light grey, warty bark.
Also, looks like nipple gall on the leaves, another distinguishing characteristic that seems ubiquitous on hackberry.

I think you're right! Bark is warty. I somehow have never come across hackberry before.
