I live 50 miles from where this happened. This same crew was trimming my trees last ear. I told them "Welcome aboard. I like electricity." See, if the power company doesn't cut dangerous trees, then a tree will crash across the lines, and you won't have electricity. Then you won't have water.
I guess this fine citizen in Yancey County didn't understand this.
I've done some ditch scrounging from neighbors (with permission) and had a few folks stop and ask what I'm up to but nothing this bad. I think I'll be double checking that I am on the right property from here on out.
