New member but previously owned a home with a Whitfield pellet stove so am not completely new to the maintenance and ownership of one. Am looking to heat a 1400 sq foot rancher and a friend has a older Quadra-Fire 1000 that he removed from a house reno as he is converting to wood, that he will give me for free. Questions I have are:

1. What is the approximate age of that model?
2. What are general opinions on that particular stove?
3. Are parts for it still relatively available (I am in northern BC) online?
