I dont have one of those but that looks really neat. On really hot days what i do is set the air conditioners timer to turn it on at say 1 pm while im at work. This is mostly to keep the dog cool but i do like coming home to a conditioned house.

Looks like most new AC units have the same function. This app allows you to have a timer also but you can change the timer settings at work if your plans change. To see all the features, You can download the manual on the Tado site.

I have some extra horsepower in the AC department at the house here, so coming home to a hot house is mostly solved in minutes.

This would be even better if it could let me turn on the pellet stove from my phone. Or help if i had those dual purpose AC units that double as heaters.

You can easily turn on your pellet stove from a smart phone.
In the bottom of the second photo in the following thread is a pic of the Iris T-Stat I use to turn the Harman pellet stove on and off that is setup according to the Harman technical memo using a remote T-Stat
