Don't know where Valencia is, but when the wife and I went out there a couple years ago, I got burned pretty good on the tops of my feet. Must have forgotten those.
Take sunscreen, like Dennis said, and use it if you burn. You'll be happy you did.
Oh yeah, have fun if you can get away from work.

Valencia is 40 mins. north of LA

40 Minutes in any direction from LA is...more LA. Rick (Native Californian)
Think I will stick with the good eateries then.. 6 flags is not for me!

My cousin's husband is from LA, they live across the road from me. His father owned a pile of fruit farms in Oxnard, he grew up there. Met my cousin, married her, and moved back here to the country. He'd be able to tell you where to go, but he's Latino........do you like Mexican food??

never tried one myself, just keep hearing how great they are. none east of mississippi

I'm flying out of BOS tomorrow for San Diego,
Will be in L A Wednesday at Queen Mary for lunch meeting a cousin, then up to Santa Barbara and then up to SF and eventually Seattle. Just vacation for 2 weeks, but visiting relatives along the way.

Hope you have a great time Bill.

Yep. Mexican food galore.

90 minutes away is Santa Barbara. Good food, deep sea fishing, beaches, mountains right up to the sea. One of my favorite spots.

SF and Seattle are both great cities (and I hate cities). I wish I could do the drive up the coast that you are doing! I bet it's amazing

In 1981 I bought a flop top sports car in LA and the next leg of the vacation was up Highway 1 from LA to the wine country before heading inland to Sacramentio. Fantastic drive.

Indeed, the Pacific coast is spectacular. We'll be heading down the Oregon coast for some van camping in a couple weeks.

In-&-Out ...get the double double with onions. Last time I was in Valencia they were building a bridge over a pit of sand..with plans to fill it with water. Thought it a bit odd, being the desert and all. A curious folk those SoCals.

I did get a burger from there.. ;) Just got back and had a great time! Valencia is nice town and the Hyatt is right in the middle of everything.. Went to Hollywood on way to airport and took a bunch of pics.. Pretty good trip! :)

Yes I like Mexican food on occasion. Meant to go to the Azul Tequila but never made it there.. We did get fish taco's but I didn't care for them.. Ate and drank like a horse lol.. Great time!
