Sierra model 1200 made in 1980. Used very little. Mostly black, some light surface rust. What is a fair price?
Thanks,
Jeff

Mike is right, its probably only worth the metal it is made of. Maybe you could find a sucker to buy it for hundred or two. Maybe you could sell it to one of those places that restores old stoves and re-sells them? http://www.goodtimestove.com/

In some states, like oregon, it is illegal to sell an older non-epa stove. They do not want them re-installed after they are removed from one location.

Steel scrap is bringing 7 cents a pound, so that's maybe $20.

Sierra stoves make great meat smokers.

IN Virginia, my guess would be that $150 and they pick it up (without harming the floor) would be a good price.

Not a bad stove - parts are still available, in fact a company is making updated models of the same. Certainly it does not meet modern emission standards, but it might be perfect for a mountain cabin or something like that.

You may also be able to get a tax deduction by giving it to a charity (camp, etc) that could use it.
