I never knew of David Syme, but maybe the picture is mislabeled. Duncan Syme was one of the founders.
Yes, the picture caption is wrong. That is Duncan. Per Stephen Morris:
Stephen Morris - I would guess this would be 1977. That's Bill Floyd, who was employee #3 at the company, in the background. There was no David Syme, although Duncan's brother Lochlin worked as a sales rep in the late 80s/early 90s.
