upstate ny
so i replaced the blower and the snapstat on my insert started a nice fire and waited and waited and waited.
for the blower to kick in ..... and nothing!
Am i missing something? or should or could bypass the snapstat and rheostats????
thanks eric.

First check to see if there's power at the plug outlet. If so, verify the snapstat is working. It may have failed or may no longer be firmly up against the stove body. Check that first. If ok, then with the blower unplugged and the stove hot, do a continuity test across the terminals. There should be a closed circuit if the snap switch is at the trigger temp. If not replace the switch. If there is continuity then the rheostat may be suspect. See if the blower comes on in any position.

Thanks for reply , there is a new snap stat in place and have no patience.
So now i just want to bypass the rheostat and snapstat entirely dont care about the single speed fan just want it running and i will manually turn it on or off at this point. CAN ANY ONE show me how to bypass it ???

If memory serves.....to remove the blower unit, you needed to disconnect 2 wires...the wires to the snap disk. Connect the 2 loose wires on the blower and you've bypassed the disk. Fan can be turned on at any time.
Bypassing the rheostat I can't help with, and not sure I recommend.
Good luck.
