ANOTHER REBUILD QUESTION: I REBUILT THIS STOVE ABOUT 10YRS AGO AND AM DOING IT AGAIN. EVERYTHING IS GOING PRETTY GOOD EXCEPT I CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO CHANGE THE THERMOSTAT CABLE--USING THE ORIGINAL CABLE AS A PULL WIRE---DO YOU PULL FROM THE CONTROL HANDLE DOWN OR FROM THE BOTTOM UP?? DOES IT MATTER? THANKS, TOM

IIRC, the last couple of rebuilds that I did on these ole guys, I hadda make a tool that inserted thru the lower back & pulled the cable down from the top to the opening in the rear...
Seems like I hadda bend up a clotheshanger to a certain configuration in order to get around inside the air chambers & up to the side where the wire was mounted...
