I am a new guy to wood stoves.
What are people's thoughts on a Vermont Castings vigilant stove.
I can get this stove with 18 feet double wall stainless steel pipe for almost free
This would be for a 30 X 40 insulated shop in Iowa.
Thanks in advance.

The ones made in the '80's are awesome. The newer ones seem to be prone to problems. Don't look at the date on the castings, look at the date on the plate attached at the back at the bottom.
If it's almost free, that's a good deal if the installation is done or checked by a good professional installer/inspector for safety.
