Video doorbell

Who has a video doorbell and what seems to be the best brand? We got one a few months ago (not a Ring) and I call it the doorbell from hell.

Not really, but I am away from home a lot. I travel 55% of my time internationally and I want my spouse to have some extra security.

I know nothing about them, the upper part of our entry door is a window with divided lites so it wouldn't do us any good. Here's an article reviewing features:

One thing to consider is how the unit will be wired/powered and how much of a problem this might present.

There are several reviews that will have different perspectives. Tom's Guide tends to be a bit more tech oriented.

Another thing to consider is if you want the additional cost of a subscription service that goes with many of these products, or not.

I have had Ring for a couple years now and I am happy with it. I did not go with the doorbell but instead went with the floodlight model to cover my front and back of the house, works great.
