HI I USED TO OWN AN '80s VIGILANT WITH A FIRE VIEWING SCREEN. LOVED IT... RECENTLY I BOUGHT AN '80s TWO-DOOR RESOLUTE BUT IT DIDN'T HAVE A SCREEN. CAN THIS MODEL BE USED AS AN OPEN FIREPLACE WITH SCREEN?? (GEEZ...I HOPE SO...)

ALSO: WOULD 8" PIPE IMPROVE DRAFT?

THANKS ONE AND ALL (I'M NEW---GREAT SITE!!)

Welcome Craig. Yes there was a screen for this stove. Finding one may take a bit of a hunt. Maybe try www.hearthandstove.com? They sometimes sell them on eBay.

Stick with 6" pipe for the stove.
