Water stain on Ashford

Hello,
My water pot on top of my Ashford 30.2 spilled. I didn't notice it until it baked off and it left a white calcium stain. I tried wiping it with a wet cloth and dried it immediately. It lightened the mark but it’s still there. Any suggestions? I want to do everything to avoid painting. Something tells me I’m going to need to let the stove cool. The stove is the gray pewter if that changes how I need to proceed.

Appreciate the help. I attempted that and it certainly helped. I will try hitting it again with white vinegar if get the stove to cool down again.
