It was 49 degrees this morning here in the Hudson Valley. The house temp was 61 degrees this morning and . wife was complaining yesterday when it was 63 degrees in the house.

Full disclosure, it was raining yesterday when I did my annual top to bottom cleaning. Yeah I know, I should have done that in the spring. I bad this year. ;em On the plus side this year I was able to remove all the rear fans to clean the fan blades without disconnecting the stove pipe and moving the stove. With the right tools it went smoothly.

Seems early this year to fire up the stove. Good to know it sill works.

It was 37 degree here when I left for work this morning. My stove is torn down for a deep cleaning. The wife kindly reminded me that it was going to get chilly last night. I guess that was a hint to hurry up and put the stove back together!

I have to wait until Nov 1 before I can enjoy the heat from my new pellet stove. Until then, I am fighting the urge to nudge the thermostat for the oil heat but there are frost warnings tonight. I hope my wife is in the mood to share the blankets tonight.

37 here in Southern MD this morning. 65 on both the downstairs and upstairs thermostat. Flipped the switch on the Harman 52i and in an hour it was 72 downstairs and 70 upstairs. This was our first time really firing it up and I have to say I'm ready to see what she is capable of this winter.

woke up this morning here outside Phila and the thermostat said 62 degrees..[ felt like it.]
we face the East so opened up the blinds and front door with screen and let the Solar Rays do it's job.
It was warmer outside and filtered in..would have taken longer to fire up the stove to warm the house.
won't get away with this in November I'm sure..

Southern MD?, people are still walking the O.C. Boardwalk and Sun bathing and swimming in the Ocean!!

I am so totally jealous right now but know that I'll be there soon.

Your in NH you should be jealous it's colder in MD than NH!!......I dont believe it!

Yep. Coldest night in VA/MD last night since last April. Ten degrees below average last night and today.

Was 41 when I got up this morning. Fired up the stove to take the chill out of the 62 degree house. This the only time I have need the stove. I did do a test fire a few weeks back to be on the safe side. heat feels good.

Not this morning they weren't. Let's face it I was looking for any excuse to fire it up anyway. 37 degrees was a good excuse.

Woke up to a 66 degree house and answering the wife's question, "Is there a reason why the house is 66 degrees with the pellet stove sitting there quiet?" Yes, it was kind sarcasm, but the stove has warmed things up nicely.

Woke up to the kids asking to turn on the heat. Was 60 degrees in the house. Fired up the stove this morning for the first time this year. Really didn't want to fire it up till later in Oct., but its nice and toasty now. :)

I better get ours put back together. Well, it is all together except for the firebrick repair i have to do yet, then I have to help the Mr put it back against the wall and hook up to the vent.

I went camping for the last 4 days and came home to GASP the oil furnace running. What a woosie. I was camping in rain wind and low 30 degree temps.

October 5. I finished the fall maintenance and fired it up to take off the chill. Earliest fire since I've had the stove. 16 years.

My wife complained as well. High temp never made it out of the 40s today and the house temp was slowing inching its way down toward 60°F so I fired up the furnace for the first time this evening. First floor went from 63°F to 70°F an hour after ignition. I had "primed" it previously testing some different pellet brands, that's what burned all the Pam cooking spray out of the burn chamber. Stuff works great for preventing corrosion off season.

Last evening came in with 50 deg weather and overnight 37, first overnight burn of the season. If it hadn't been Sunday evening and sitting around the living room chatting etc, I may have just had a morning burn today but it was just cool enough it felt good. But I set the temp a bit too high, my dining room was 75 when I got up this morning. I should have turned room temp down a bit before bed, it felt so nice I did not do that. Up till now I have had three morning burns, the longest about 4 hours and that was in Sept ! It's coming, around here heating will get more steady after the 15th of Oct. It's ok, I have pellets and heating oil.

Not yet, on vacation this week, heading out on our annual fall foliage / wife's birthday trip this morning, when we get back end of the week it'll be time to open up the vent and oak and fire it up, prob'ly .................

Been firing mine on and off, kill that humidity on rainy days and it has been going down in the 30s overnight , the Skytech fires it up an hour before we get up and it's sooo nice to feel that heat:)

In the same boat, and not too far away, either. Had my vents apart to replace some sections, and letting the RTV cure before putting it back together. But what fantastic days - going to be tough to go back to work today, 'cause you can't beat the sun and mild temp combo we're having. And great sleeping weather!

Well being a "newbie" to Pellet Stoves and Pellet burning. Last night I saw that it could be in the high 30's this morning I cranked up the new Stove. Yup its a basement dweller It was 62 at 6pm and by 9pm it was 66 on the first floor and I turned the stove down to "low" woke this morning and it was still 66 in the house and I was quite happy.

Yeah - my wife also suggested that I may be lighting it soon after cool temps yesterday, to which I reminded her she just bought a couple new sweaters...

Funny my wife is the one who usually suggests I put on a sweater at this time of year but the other night she wanted the stove on. Didn't run it last night, it's nearly 60 deg outside. I got to work and the cars had frost on them up there yesterday.

I'm lighting my stove here and there just to take the chill off in the morning when I wake up. I've gone through almost 2 bags in the past 2 weeks.

I over did the burn Sunday night and used nearly a bag there. We have had 3 other burns so a bag more or less. So pretty much as you, two bags thus far, the second filling the hopper presently.
