Well I just might cry. Help?

I am out of ideas without a manual to look at for a trouble shooting guide and it has been a long day.

I see your pictures, yes, obviously a chimney out the roof arrangement. Sounds like you are familiar with running this stove, could you verify the combustion blower is running and does it seem to be drawing, ..... I can tell a difference in the sound of mine when I close the door tight -vs- opening it. also you can see a significant difference in the flame cracking the door open when it first starts to fire up, fire is very lazy with door open and the draft really makes it stand up and gives it direction when the door closes and seals. This is not scientific but kind of a crude way of checking for normal flu draft when you are familiar with your stove... Silly question but there is no chimney cap slowing the exhaust is there ??

Hard to tell from pic (please upload better ones, with lights on or flash) but I thought it might be a Quest, similar to one I have. Open hopper and see if anything written on underside of lid (sticker).

Writing from iPad now so cannot get manual to upload, but am skeptical it's the board. You say it runs for 5 min, then stops and restarts? Please give more specific info. Count (or use stopwatch) to tell us # seconds between auger turns. How long does it stay running, specifically (5 min sounds like an estimate). Exactly how long off until reigniting? Exactly how long does it stay relit? And please describe flame, etc., while this is going on, in detail. And when was stove last thoroughly cleaned?

It was professionally cleaned a month ago (although installer says badly). He thoroughly cleaned it again as he moved it this evening.

Burn pot full on ignition.
1 min until more pellets dropped.
Pellet drop went on for 50 seconds.

Burning down to empty now with no additional drop.

Burned for 7.5 mins then went to fault.

Yours is of course a Quest, Bioburner (I have the insert, and it's a great little stove, as you know). I could barely make out her pic.

For OP, I'm stumped a bit but if it comes on, dumps pellets, burns OK, but shuts down after a bit I would think Proof of Fire is bad and allowing stove to shut down. It's the later pellet dump / reignite that has me puzzled. But I'll defer to Bioburner, who knows more about this.

It has me baffled as well. Could well be the proof of fire eye. Was the first thing I had to jump around and latter install a snap disc to have a proof of fire to tell the board that a fire was going. Was told about the conversion by I think Don. Works well. I understand the upping of tech to the eye but gets dirty and fails and is expensive to replace. Just not very good for a pellet stove. I had a Lennox Montage and they changed back to a snap disc too. I think this is probably our underlying problem.

Hi Hobokenkitchen, your stove must be a Profile 30 Insert. I can tell from this edited version of your picture, where I have made the shadows brighter... the door handle points upwards. On a Profile 20 it points downwards.
The owners/installation manual has a good troubleshooting section on pages 33-34. Please take your time to study this very useful info.

The very first point in the troubleshooting guide has some resemblance to yours. One thing to try out is the suggestion: Clean out internal exhaust ducts.
You know, the internal exhaust ducting may have become blocked with ash falling down, when the stove was bumped around. The clean out ports should look like this:

I have an Advantage IIT insert, and I have seen my "start-up" like that when the igniter is on its way out.
It, on occasion, slow to ignite, if it is a bit cold in the room I have it in. I just hold back the feed until it is going good.
Also, I believe that it should be started on 3 and not 1, as otherwise, not enough air will flow thru the igniter, and it could get hotter than normal, shortening its lifespan.

As far as the not dropping pellets, I would empty the hopper of pellets (where you put the pellet in, not where they burn), start it, and let it run.
Watch the actual augur to see if it is turning consistently when the feed light is lit.
If it turns some of the time, it could be the augur motor/gearbox assembly.
I had to replace my augur motor and gearbox assembly as there is a little plastic spacer washer (.190 whole diameter??? there was a thread about this at one point) that wore out.
this would cause the motor shaft gear to not mesh 100% of the time with the gear in the gearbox..
Not sure if this helps, but it is a couple of steps..
