My saw came with a 20" bar, and I'm looking to add a 16 to it. It has a 3/8 sprocket and every online ordering tool (bailey's etc...) tells me I need a .325.... So what bar works for the 5100 in a 3/8? What kind of bar and chain combos are you guys using?

Thanks.

I know Bailiey's has the 16" bar .325 on sale for @ 15$. You could switch it over to .325 cheap.
That what I'm doing with my ms310. I all so have the 5100 with a 16" bar .325 it cuts great. I like the .325
chain bar combp better then the 3/8.

oregon makes a bar part # 160RNDK095 that should fit your saw but i'm not sure about the oil hole location. you need to be sure it matches up with your saw or you'll burn up the bar and chain.

My local Husqvarna dealer got me a nice 16" bar and chain today.

If anyone else is interested, then I can get you the bar number.
