Trash! Plus this saves me a few bucks by not buying/using more plastic trash bags. Bags aren't worth anything in this market, not even is you have a truck load full of them!
What do you do with your left over pellet bags?

Any gardeners here? A bag split will be 16 inches wide by 4 feet long...and many taped together(maybe tarp tape?) would make a long white row of plastic and holes could be cut for the plants...would eliminate weeding(you know how much a hassle that is!) and retain moisure under it...and reflect sunlight as well. A real waste if they are buried in a landfill...it is time to get past that idea.
Right now, we're using them in the kitchen garbage can- fit perfect & a few others. Once in awhile I may have to clean the can if we get some dribbles. I like the mulch idea- I may try that in certain areas. There's no way I'm throwing these way- I'll use them for insulating the garage or something...halloween costumes, skirt the bottom of the foundation with them,,lol
That's exactly what I do as well. However, at the rate that i am using them, I'll have a lifetime supply by the end of the winter!thekid_1 said:
Save them till the end of the year and take them out on a nice day to to court yard in our apartment complex. We put the bags in a large pile and put a few old tires on top to hold the bags down, the wind swirls pretty good in the courtyard. Some of the neighbors throw on some old baby diapers just for the fun of it and we light the entire pile with a little diesel fuel, who we kidding a few gallons is good. We do this in the day time because it makes pretty black smoke. Everyone enjoys a good fire.

trick or treat bags, poncho for midgets, (all small people, dont want to offend or single out
for my girlfriends extra bathroom items, for my girlfriends extra shoes,,,,,refill with bird feed, reseal it, and hang it in a tree, and let the squirrels try to open one of those suckers. extra purses for my girlfriend,,,,,,,,,,(i am not pickin on her either) put all the dried out bouquets of roses I buy my girlfriend in them. (she's working tonight, I think I just miss her we have been throwing some recycle in them, we will see if the recycle store will take the bags too. (I am showing my girlfriend this post tommorrow too) I am not afraid

For the kitchen garbage can, haven't noticed any leaks.
Also to put aluminum cans in to haul out to the crushing area. I probably have $300 worth of cans out there waiting to be processed. I need to get on that.
The bags are also useful to hold more bags; talk about intelligent packaging!

if you've got all those cans {300}- then you have enough to buy another ton of pellets!! Assuming you have some 15 centers in there...lol -Lucky you...
my wife is now putting horse manure in them and offering them to anyone who wants some crude fertilizer. go figure...
I recycle mine but I've gotten some good ideas here for other uses. If I had a young child I'd cut a few holes in 'em and make a rain poncho.
