I set this at 1 minute yesterday, and the thermostat didn't seem to like it. It ran them for a minute and then shut down for 5 minutes and then ran them again. I'm not sure if it's doing this because of something it learned, or because it didn't sense any increase in room temperature and shut down to give the heating equipment, which is a tank, time to catch up.

I'm thinking there a time while the pumps circulate the cooled water (baseboards) back to the boiler, and that's more than a minute.

I'm looking for finer control and also set the temp differential to .5F.

I set the min cycle time to 5 minutes and we'll see how that goes.

Question: What is the usual time for zone circulators off a tank?
