All cherry for the overnight...

It was 50.2 this morning, we didn't have a fire overnight or this morning. The propane fireplace is being used today when needed, I did run the furnace for about seven minutes before coffee this morning.

It was 50.2 when I called it a night, this morning we had 34.2, since we haven't had any fires lately, the basement temp started out at 63 with the temps up here 65 & 66 this morning. The first fire has some cherry, beech, maple with some ironwood in it.

We're running the propane fireplace for a bit this morning until the heat starts making a difference from the wood stove in the basement.

It's 29.4 out tonight, the basement temp is starting out at 73 with the temps up here at 68 & 69. The wood stove has one big round of ironwood in it with five splits of beech for the overnight heat.

Load of Red Oak with air setting just a smidge open.
So Fireview was at 550 STT or 550 Cat . At what STT would the F45 have to have for equal BTU output? Tough question.
I restarted this morning after 3 days of cold stove as we had warmer outside temps. 34.4 low this morning with wind. 66.4 low in family room, heat kicked on at programmed set up time. Arggggg. Had stove preloaded, just needed to be lit.....Normal startup with 4 splits oak/hickory and some kindling. Ahhh 71 in FR now

We had 19 degrees this morning, I'm not sure what the temps were in the house but the wife had the furnace running before I finally came out. We picked up a few things today so we still haven't had a fire, the outside temp back here is up to 33.

That is a tough question! I’m not sure you can base the BTU output by the stove top temps alone. The Fireview releases the heat slower and steadier than the F45. A similar load in the F45 would probably run a hotter stove top over 600 then fall off quicker. Pretty close BTU output between the two just released different.

I had two fires today so the temp up here is 72, we won't have a fire tonight. The outside temp is 33.4 tonight.

33 this morning. Oak and maple. 5 smaller splits. Going to low 50’s today so will be a one and done fire this morning. House should hit 73.

30 this am and house is at 63. Decided on a small spruce and 1 piece of maple load. Between this and today’s sun I shouldn’t need a load tonight. Seems like I’ve been in this pattern for the last 2 weeks. Still burning though! Down to 1 rack on the porch.

I didn't even check the outside temp this morning (33?) but we're suppose to be near 70 so we ran the furnace for about 10 minutes before coffee, the inside temp was 66.

The basement temp was down to 64 so I started a fire, it has some smaller splits of beech, ironwood, maple and cherry.

I think the highest outside temp we had back here today was 68.

We didn't have an overnight fire, the outside temp this morning is still 51.4 with the temps up here 68 & 69. No fire yet this morning but we'll probably have one this afternoon.

I'm not sure what the outside temp is but our low is suppose to be 25 tomorrow morning. I have five splits of beech going for the overnight heat, the temps up here are 69 & 70 with the basement at 74 when I left.
