What length of probe do I need for my 1003c Earth Stove?

Looking for a probe thermometer for my 1003c. How long a probe should I get?

I have an Earth Stove 1003C wood burning stove. It is missing the combustor probe thermometer. What i need to know, when buying, is how long a probe do I need. Do I want one that just enters the gas chamber behind the combustor or do I need on that sits on the floor of the gas chamber?
