Hi everyone. My mother is relocating her Jotul from one room to the other. I have inherited the class A chimney that is no longer required. It is Selkirk Metalbestos SS II 6T. It is from 1997. I am trying to figure out what new Selkirk pipe will mate with it. I need another section for my purposes. Any thoughts? Seems Selkirk doesn't carry this exact line any more.

Thanks very much!

A Selkirk Metalbestos chimney system came with my stove that I didn't use (for cathedral ceiling - i needed horizontal ceiling). The dealer could order the missing parts - but cost for 3 parts was more than whole new Selkirk Supervent system from Lowes. I'll look tomorrow to see if the above numbers match. Have you called Selkirk? Seems like they could match older with newer.

My label is real faded but looks like SS II 6T 36. I'll bet a dealer can match up for you. The interlocks shouldn't have changed that dramatically.

We have an age unknown Metalbestos chimney. Long story short, I needed an expander to connect the 6" single wall to the 8" thimble. Someone here pointed me in the right direction. I ordered a new expander and it fit our older setup perfectly. As mentioned, chances are the locking system hasn't changed much.

Really an excellent point. I was just in Lowes today. I can get a complete new setup, soup to nuts, for a very reasonable price. I may jut go that route.

Thanks for the tip!
