I have my uncles old 1979-ish VC Resolute Parlor stove which has interior rust and 2 broken hinges, but I bought a new VC Encore stove which I am having installed in 3 weeks.
What does one do with their old stove?

If not repairable it's scrap iron or give it away on craigslist. Maybe someone would like it for an outdoor stove?

Keep it, you may be able to get a tax credit for it.

Or do like some I've seen, put it up on CL, act like it's a gold mine, ask $500 for it...;lol
'Course that's prolly the same people that ask $100 for barely more than an armful of silver maple...that you have to cut, and haul away the brush!

I agree, sell to the scrap yard unless there is some incentive program that will pay more for it

2 broken hinges...
