What would you do with this kitchen fireplace?

Would you use this kitchen fireplace, modify, or find an insert? Currently use it to store firewood. The house is 1979 and it appears to have never been used despite having its own flue and damper. I'd like to start using it but not sure where to start. Thanks in advance!

Indoor gas or electric BBQ would an UNI Pizza oven fit?? One issue I would have is that I would be unsure of how well it drafts and and burning appliances would make me nervous without a power vent

Does it have its own flue???
