I was wondering when Travis Industries stoves start following EPA rules? The reason I am asking is I am looking for a used stove for my wife's sister and I see a lot of used Lopi and Avalon stoves. I want to get a stove that is efficient for them.

This list should point you in the right direction:

Avalon stoves were among the first to qualify. But note that there were two stages, EPA 1 and EPA 2 which is the current reg. Phase 1 regs went into effect in 1988, Phase 2 regs in 1990, but EPA 1 stoves could be sold until mid 1992.
