I am down to 3/4 of a ton left of my Green Supremes and will be picking up more pellets soon. To the guys in the Greater Nashua and Manchester areas where do you get your pellets other than HD or Lowes?

I was at Tractor supply in Milford yesterday and they had pallets of pellets but I didn't notice what brand they were.

I bought mine from Heart Line Stove Shop in Jaffrey when I bought my stove.

Ahhhh, Heartline. Bought my stoves there as well. Nice folks.

What do they have in stock?

The past few years they've sold NEWP exclusively...at least that's all I ever see there. I THINK they were $238 about a month ago. Not cheap.

You try the place in Brookline? Also, try yer local lumber yards. They USUALLY have relatively low delivery fees. Pretty sure there's a Belletetes in Nashua. They'll likely have MWP for $250 (1-3tons) or $240 for 4+. Not the greatest price considering TSC is usually $210-$220. The one in Jaffrey charges $20 whether you buy 1 or a boom truck load. Hamshaw up in Keene charges,$16 but I highly doubt they'll travel that far.

I noticed Orford softwood in your sig. Never heard of them nor have I seen them discussed on this site. Where did you get them? Where are they made? Are they any good?

They're made by Valfei, same company that makes Ambience. Only burned 2 test bags before picking up a couple tons. I THINK they're very good. Unfortunately, when I burned the 2 bags, it was fairly warm out and the stove just kinda idled through em. Seemed considerably hotter than MWP with much less ash, however, I've burned cleaner softwoods in the past. Again, it really wasn't a proper test run. They're very light in color and smell nice and piney. Even on low, the ash was light and fluffy. Paid $250/ton from Away. Made in Canada.

y MWP's are plenty hot for the winter temps thus far so I'm in no rush to switch over yet. The Orfords are my "top shelf" pellets so I'm avoiding using them (hoarding;))

(broken link removed to http://www.valfei.com/heating/default.aspx?lang=2)

Haven't seen the softies listed on the website so it could have been a limited run.

You can get Green Teams at Nashua Lowes. Way better than Green Supremes.

Looks like StoveKeepers moved from Amherst to Brookline. They carry NEWP, Lauzon, and Ambiance.

I was at County Stores today in Milford and they were selling Green Supremes. They were asking $289/ton though.

Yeah....I love the County Stores but not 289 a ton.I found Ambiance at at Blue Seal in Milford for 259 a ton. I might go and pick up a few bags to try out.

Ambiance in my opinion are well worth it,
Although not as hot as Cubex or Somersets they are hot and cleaner.
Let them heat up the stove and you should be happy with heat output and ash etc but just my opinion.
I would recommend them in a minute.

Dude, i'm on it!
