Just bucked up a White Birch and stacked the rounds. I don’t have much experience with it but I hear it can rot pretty quickly if not split? I don’t have much room in my woodshed for it so I’d like to leave it til next spring. What do you all think, will it last til spring?

Keep it off the ground and top covered and it should be ok.

Here, alder rots quickly too if damp. It's not a very dense hardwood. However, if kept dry, it lasts ok.

Well I decided to split it all and make room in my woodshed. If it’s ready next year I’ll burn it.

I didn’t want to risk it rotting since that tree gave me some issues when I dropped it. First it got hung up on another tree and I had to pull it off with my Ranger. Then as I was bucking it up I hit a rock and ruined a chain so it’s going to pay for that by heating the cabin next fall.

Nice Ranger splitter setup!
How much of a cord do you think you can safely haul in the Ranger?
I think I'm about 1/5th of a cord in our Rhino, our box looks quite a bit smaller than yours.

I think my payload max is 500lbs? Not really sure how much of a cord it can haul, I tend not to push it too much.
