I’m considering buying a used jotul 602 for a small cabin. All the ones I’ve seen so far are beautiful black iron. I found one recently that is white. Owner is the second owner so they didn’t purchase new, I’m wondering if 602s ever came in white enamel (like some other jotul models) or if someone painted this (which seems like a bad idea). Stove is believed to be early-mid 1990s model. Grateful for all guidance
 
Haven't seen one. In-person it should be apparent whether it was painted white or actual white enamel.

Seller was kind enough to fire it up for us. The paint started peeling off. Seems someone painted it with low temp spray paint. Dodged that fire hazard. …
