I just had my first Lpg fill on 12-13-10 for the year. My last fill was 12-23-09, I had only used roughly 55% of what was in the tank. Total for heating my house and water for 12 months $314. That saves me roughly $700-$800 a year.

I started last January burning wood and could not be more pleased, sure there was frustration and a learning curve but this year has been much better and next year my wood will be even drier. Very Happy

I'm saving around $1500 a year on propane in the eastern UP. That with a small insert and not a freestanding stove, which would likely run me out of the place.

We save about $600-700 a year. At first its was cause we couldn't afford the gas. Now the house feels so much warmer with the stove on.
