OK. I went to Lowe's today and decided to try one of those small corner fans. I wanted something small and unobtrusive. We have a gate between the living room and kitchen to keep the dogs out of the living room when we want to. I mounted the fan at the base of the gate blowing through the kitchen and into the stove room. As soon as I turned it on, DW walked in front of it and said; "Oh great, now I can get cold feet every time I walk by the archway or sit at the table". Well, that kinda pi$$ed me off but I kept my cool. I told her to give it an hour to balance things out. After about 20 minutes the change was beginning to be noticeable and she acknowledged it.

It's been in place about an hour and it's clearly making a difference. I'm hopeful this settles our ongoing debate. Thanks for the ideas.

The good placement of a fan makes a world of difference. Like I said yesterday I turn a fan on and temp in other room go's up three degrees in half hour. It's almost a must for out home otherwise we have a stove room that's to hot to sit in. The cold air coming in makes it comfortable to be our primary sitting room. I'm sitting here watching a great episode if wife swap nice and toasty, but not burning up.
