Missurah
Stack on the left is 2-3 year old(and will be headed for my back covered porch in a bit). Stack on the right is going to be the new pile location. I sure do envy the covered sheds some of you guys have. Maybe some day.

Back pile is 3 pallets deep.

My new stack will be 4 pallets long and 6 pallets wide. Heavy duty pallets from the mining company my FIL works at. After separating the wood for this season, I should have enough(after splitting), to fill up my new stack.

I moved the stacks so the ends face the westerly winds and I can get my truck around to all sides. I have a heavy duty pool cover that will fit over the 4 x 6 pallet formation nicely.

Second picture is a water snake that about scared me off the wood pile a few months ago when removing the tarp. In missurah if you see a brown snake with dark brown markings you better take a second look.

Not a snake fan, would have freaked me out

He didn't make it. I let him live after I took the tarp off and let it dry in the sun. He crawled back into the tarp. I caught him with a 12 gauge #6 to the face right before he got back in the wood pile.

Don't mind having snakes around, but don't like having surprises.
