Wood ID - Pine?

My dads neighbor brought this over to the front of his driveway today. Said he didn't know what the tree was there wasn't many branches. Is it pine? That off leaf at the bottom looks like it had came off a different tree I was thinking. Lots of vines grew on it too. I have a LOT to learn with my Tree ID skills and appreciate the help here very much.

Appears to be Norway Spruce. Wood will be similar to pine.

split it now and it will be seasoned for my the new year

Maybe even tamarack or larch? Looks very similar to the local tamarack with the real defined grain.

I would have thought spruce or white pine (about the same difference) ...covered in poison ivy vines. Though I tend to think all vines are poison ivy ...though around here, they usually are!

The vines look like English Ivy to me, suggesting the tree grew in a yard and therefore might have been planted rather than a naturally occurring tree. Norway Spruce fits that description but so do a few other conifers

It was a yard tree his neighbor has maybe a .5acre lot and it came out of his backyard. I was thinking spruce too thanks!

If you can get to the original branches grab a hand full of needles. If it bites back it is spruce.

I'd guess hemlock or spruce.

Second guess: Pine.
