I have a chance to get this wood and it may not be very far away. Can anybody identify it? I'm thinking ash but I don't know about the dark center.

Could be tulip poplar. 65% certain

If it's tulip poplar I don't think I want it. If it's ash and beech I'll try to get it. I think I'll message them and see if they know.
