Same tree? 9962 and 9966 look like silver maple to me. The wood on the others looks like maple to me, but bark doesn’t for some reason. Could just be my phone screwing with my eyes. Could be red maple I guess too. Do you have any buds from the tree by chance?

It was the load that dropped for me to process. So, no leaves or buds. The guy told me it's maple and oak. The huge one smelled a little like oak, but not strong like red oak.

Post a closeup of the endgrain of the one you think is oak. I’m not seeing any rays in it, but again, I’m looking at a phone.

9963 may be elm. Let us know how it splits 😬

The one with the orange tint to it is Silver Maple, burns a little fast but burns clean with a lively flame, also makes nice kindling. The one with the darker coloring inside I think is either Poplar or Box Elder, both will have a smell to them when split. Not very high on the BTU charts but it's still firewood.

Can’t see it with the phone. Oak has very distinct end grain.

Two or three different types? One is silver or red maple? Another is ash?

Photos can be tough.

Can you tell ?

I see open pores and what might be rays. It’s not the surest oak I’ve ever seen, but it checks the boxes for as much as it matters. It’s in your driveway, split it and stack it!
