Have a Regency GC60 and it was installed with exhaust pipe behind the HVAC outside unit. I wasn't sure if this can be done? I can't find anything on internet and the documentation states

3 ft (91 cm) From any forced air intake of other appliance
but is the outside unit considered that or an exhaust unit.

The installation requirements does not make any such a distinction, so I don't.
